In the 35th minute André Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Freixa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Betão Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

After having played for 95 minutes, André Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Picolino Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Picolino Futebol Clube supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Bolivia's performance. The match ended with a win for Bolivia.
