Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Clovis Lenoble started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Faustin Compagnon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Eliseo Noboa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Noboa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabrice Lepetit breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th minute, Axel Tasis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 20 minutes of play, Fierce's Clovis Lenoble made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alexandre Bertholet kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Ramón Sirvent's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramón Sirvent helped the player get up and apologised. Fabrice Lepetit acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 27th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Juan Rubio. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrice Lepetit having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramón Sirvent hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After 59 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Axel Tasis. 68 minutes into the game, Clovis Lenoble was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fierce's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Fierce was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clovis Lenoble didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 76th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabrice Lepetit saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 79 minutes, Alou Loret mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fierce and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of Fierce:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Costa Rica:s goal. Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Gaston Le Flem managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fierce's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaston Le Flem was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
