When Erdinç Şerif fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Eskisehir's protests and gave Erdinç Şerif a yellow card for diving instead. Yağızalp Aktaşoğlu made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Jaime Cazalla sent off a good shot on target. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Hoddevik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Sainz kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

After 56 minutes Uruguay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sümer Giyas who took care of the corner kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sümer Giyas during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Uruguay booed when AC Eskisehir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sümer Giyas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in AC Eskisehir's zone, Francisco Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yağızalp Aktaşoğlu came out of the goal and Francisco Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Francisco Seco came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Seco couldn't finish the play. Bruno Beldad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Yağızalp Aktaşoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Maximiliano Escribano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yağızalp Aktaşoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 85th minute of play. A collision led to AC Eskisehir getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Oliver Hoddevik hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Fernando Zorita got a free kick in the 87th minute. After some careless play in the AC Eskisehir defense, Francisco Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yağızalp Aktaşoğlu. The AC Eskisehir fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yağızalp Aktaşoğlu should have stopped the shot. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 唐铮斌, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
