The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Çetin Tolunbay made in the 10th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Luca Espinar. In the 15th minute, Edmundo Espiga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Honduras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Talat Atacan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. Sebastian Villa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Batur Oncel having to interfere. In the 24th minute Baran Alp Onsoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The SOA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Ayhan Vacip's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastian Villa hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Espiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Batur Oncel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
