Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. In the 5th match minute, New England Minas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthony Faturrahman to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Puig in the 5th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Brett Ladd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, New England Minas's Stan Berry got a free kick in the 6th minute. If Nathan Whitaker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacy Opalinski came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Tasis in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brett Ladd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aaron Alcocer kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Brett Ladd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Puig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Ignacy Opalinski sent off a good shot on target. Ruben Ellison hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After having played for 35 minutes, Ruben Ellison managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New England Minas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruben Ellison was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nathan Whitaker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nikitas Papaiakovou who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Benito Sanz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of New England Minas booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Aaron Alcocer charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aaron Alcocer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 51 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacy Opalinski, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ignacy Opalinski's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Eliseo Noboa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Brett Ladd. That made the score 2-1 in the 61 minute of play. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikitas Papaiakovou in the 66th minute of play. Brett Ladd was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Eliseo Noboa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eliseo Noboa really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. 71 minutes into the match, Nathan Whitaker notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. New England Minas's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Eliseo Noboa 75 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-3. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacy Opalinski in the 79th minute of the match. Brett Ladd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84thth minute of the game Ignacy Opalinski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nikitas Papaiakovou's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Juan Rubio got a free kick in the 89th minute. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikitas Papaiakovou in the 91st minute of the match. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacy Opalinski, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the New England Minas players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
