Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelino Bernebe in the 28th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Christian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luis Toli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Horacio Austin made in the 43rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Marcos Acuña however managed to control. Sebastian Villa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Toli having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Nereo Lleir stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Nereo Lleir tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th match minute, C.A Juventud Peronista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Bambis to maneuver through the defense. In the last second Luis Toli throw himself and got hold of the ball when Edmundo Espiga in the 59thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 64th minute, Sebastian Bambis made a precise shot to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roque Ferrando in the 67th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Bernebe in the 68th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Roque Ferrando ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lautaro Navarro was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Bernebe in the 78th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A throw-in in the 79th minute of the game was made by Horacio Austin with Franek Kluczyk as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 80th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Ocampo to maneuver through the defense. If Sebastian Bambis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Bambis in the 83rd minute of play. Edmundo Espiga was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 90th minute. Honduras's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 93rdth minute of the game Sebastian Bambis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Honduras's Lautaro Navarro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Bambis in the 96th minute of the match. C.A Juventud Peronista's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
