An unexpectedly hard shot by Astor Barbosa in the 15th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lun Luna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Mancebo succeeded in the game's 18th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Enzo Shantala made a huge save. When Lun Luna came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Howling Dawn U18 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lun Luna couldn't finish the play. The corner led Howling Dawn U18's Mercurio Mercurio to fire away a dangerous shot which Dante Lacasa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Howling Dawn U18's Enzo Shantala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Leoz to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Howling Dawn U18's Mercurio Mercurio got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hernan Azibar during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 51 played minutes Howling Dawn U18 got a freekick which was hit by Hernan Azibar. Enzo Shantala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 52nd minute of play. Enzo Shantala didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Howling Dawn U18's Enzo Shantala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 64th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Barbosa came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enzo Shantala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Enzo Shantala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 73rd minute of play. Howling Dawn U18 made a substitution. Mars Marte replaced Tobias Sol. Howling Dawn U18's Baldomiro Jerrald was substituted for Lun Luna. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after Howling Dawn U18's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Mexico booed when Howling Dawn U18 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Azibar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Howling Dawn U18's Enzo Shantala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 93rd minute of play. There was no doubt that Mexico were the better team. Mexico's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
