The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vito de Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henrique Candal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-5. With an all-out effort, Matos Velhos's Dante Lacasa threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Henrique Candal, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
