Daniel Zorita in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Julio Vera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pan Jian Yong showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 81 minute of play. After having played for 83 minutes, Pan Jian Yong managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lions United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pan Jian Yong was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pan Jian Yong was extremely unlucky when he, in the 91st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Lions United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niels Vandamme didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Ecuador lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
