But to his dismay, Clark Holloway quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Alfonso de la Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clark Holloway received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Camilo Freixa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clark Holloway was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Bolivia's Alfonso de la Cruz got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind American Airlines's goalkeeper Chase Erwin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 66 minutes, Eduardo Fontirroig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bolivia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduardo Fontirroig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Bolivia's Eduardo Fontirroig got a free kick in the 70th minute. Jorginho Esteves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Alfonso de la Cruz notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of American Airlines's Chase Erwin. Chase Erwin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Alfonso de la Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mario Fernandino got free with Chase Erwin in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eduardo Fontirroig was extremely unlucky when he, in the 83rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When American Airlines's Clark Holloway in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Camilo Freixa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Camilo Freixa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clark Holloway, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
