The crowd rose to their feet as Ulryk Merski kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dante Lacasa. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Janusz Pusiak in the 19th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Janusz Pusiak's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Tadeusz Rutkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 27th minute of play. Tadeusz Rutkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 29th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Janusz Pusiak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 36th minute of play forced 2kC Poznań's goalkeeper Tadeusz Rutkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tadeusz Rutkowski quite easily take care of the ball. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Janusz Pusiak, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. A collision led to 2kC Poznań getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Stanislaw Kisielka hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Tadeusz Rutkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 57th minute of the match. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 67th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tadeusz Rutkowski could save by the left post. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Tadeusz Rutkowski made a huge save. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Janusz Pusiak in the 73rd minute of play. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeusz Rutkowski having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Tadeusz Rutkowski in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. That made the score 1-4 in the 77 minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, Janusz Pusiak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 89 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 2kC Poznań's Tadeusz Rutkowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save 2kC Poznań from getting a goal against them. Janusz Pusiak took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
