In the 30thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Juniors FC's Lázaro Colon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivan Navarro during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ivan Navarro hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Enrique Frasco sped through Honduras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. 82 minutes into the game, Enrique Frasco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Lautaro Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
