Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrey Kovtun in the 3rd minute of play. The Jamaica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Demonde Jacobson should have stopped the shot. 8 minutes into the match, Andrey Kovtun notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson. Demonde Jacobson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Demonde Jacobson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryszard Nowak, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 16thth minute of the game Zé Carlos Vaz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Gugu Mandrak notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson. Demonde Jacobson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryszard Nowak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gugu Mandrak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Zé Carlos Vaz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. In the 58th minute, Ryszard Nowak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Demonde Jacobson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Jamaica from getting a goal against them. Demonde Jacobson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sándor Szabados in the 65th minute of play. Romon Oliver's late challenge caught a Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romon Oliver helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st minute, Ryszard Nowak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Demonde Jacobson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-13. In the 76th minute Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- were awarded a corner. Zé Carlos Vaz went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 81st minute, Zé Carlos Vaz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Demonde Jacobson. The goal made the score 0-14. The audience was convinced that Joe Sulser's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Demonde Jacobson was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Gugu Mandrak took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Demonde Jacobson. Demonde Jacobson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-15. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viorel Buș in the 89th minute of play forced Jamaica's goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Geroy Ascue fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jamaica's protests and gave Geroy Ascue a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Jamaica's Geroy Ascue got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 96 minutes into the game, Zé Carlos Vaz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Demonde Jacobson. Zé Carlos Vaz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-17. Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
