Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tomas Illescas made the kick off which started today's match. 7 minutes into the game, Tiberiu Dulgherescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 15th minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Emilian Feteanu. Politehnica Iasi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Emilian Feteanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 32 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiberiu Dulgherescu in the 39th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Politehnica Iasi were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tiberiu Dulgherescu took the corner. When Tiberiu Dulgherescu came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Politehnica Iasi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiberiu Dulgherescu couldn't finish the play. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Liviu Drăgan hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. Tiberiu Dulgherescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 54th minute. Tiberiu Dulgherescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute Tiberiu Dulgherescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute Iosif Porumbescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 64th minute of play forced Politehnica Iasi's goalkeeper Emilian Feteanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Emilian Feteanu made a huge save. Anton Munteanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the game, Politehnica Iasi's Silviu Zburliş nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Silviu Zburliş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute, Iosif Porumbescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiberiu Dulgherescu in the 93rd minute of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. In the 97th match minute, Politehnica Iasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iosif Porumbescu to maneuver through the defense. Politehnica Iasi's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
