After a defensive mix-up in Galrazaya's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo Sugoi came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Danilo Sugoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Fermin Lonzo kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After 25 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Danilo Sugoi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. Danilo Sugoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute of play. Danilo Sugoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danilo Sugoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Galrazaya's Danilo Sugoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 38th minute of play. When Baldomero Orland came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Galrazaya fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baldomero Orland couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Danilo Sugoi. Galrazaya's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Melchor Pueblo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Galrazaya's Danilo Sugoi. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Galrazaya's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Danilo Sugoi, making the score, 0-3. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomero Orland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Galrazaya's Jose Pelayo in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal.
