After having played for 39 minutes, Teofilo Mascarañas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glorioso Deportivo Cali's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teofilo Mascarañas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Rigoberto Bastiaro made the kick off in the second half. Ivar Bjurström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Macos Graciani to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 69 minutes, Rigoberto Bastiaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glorioso Deportivo Cali's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rigoberto Bastiaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
