Canalla Fuego's Clemente Benvido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Canalla Fuego from getting a goal against them. After 24 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The corner led to Ecuador's Felix Montes getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Canalla Fuego's goalkeeper Clemente Benvido had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. After 38 minutes Canalla Fuego's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Canalla Fuego's Clemente Benvido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Canalla Fuego from getting a goal against them. After having played for 41 minutes, Ricky Kalischer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canalla Fuego's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricky Kalischer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clemente Benvido was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 47 minute of play. Canalla Fuego made a substitution. Carlos Aimar replaced Aristides Villanueva. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ricky Kalischer to strike the kick off in the second half. Clemente Benvido didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After having played for 70 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Canalla Fuego made a substitution. Romeo Lon replaced Faustino Egoi. When Ricky Kalischer came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Canalla Fuego fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricky Kalischer couldn't finish the play. Agustín Saelices's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clemente Benvido read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Felix Montes made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Canalla Fuego's Clemente Benvido managed to reach the ball for a save. Clemente Benvido stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Aimar. After 91 minutes, Daniel Zorita mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Canalla Fuego players grew even worse after the yellow card. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Aimar in the 97th minute.
