Stade Ygossais's attentive Gameiro Gèlebart managed to snatch the ball when Raymond Louis made a throw-in in the 38th minute of the game. Haiti's Jean Marie Alcius quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Éluard Marcellin, made in the 41st minute of the game. 43 minutes into the game, Haiti's Jonathan Alphonse nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anthony Vaissière made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonathan Alphonse to make the kick off. Noel Seide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jackson Plet in the 52nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Stade Ygossais's zone, Jonathan Alphonse stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anthony Vaissière came out of the goal and Jonathan Alphonse tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stade Ygossais's Anthony Vaissière played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Alphonse in the 58th minute of play. Anthony Vaissière showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Alphonse in the 60th minute of the match. Cédric Louison blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Noel Seide having to make a save. Gesner Philippe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anthony Vaissière read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Anthony Vaissière showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernso Constant in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Jonathan Alphonse ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anthony Vaissière was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Dorval during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jonathan Alphonse could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Anthony Vaissière made a huge save. After 86 played minutes Stade Ygossais got a freekick which was hit by Jean-Sébastien Bruel. 87 minutes into the game, Haiti's Jonathan Alphonse nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anthony Vaissière made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Raymond Louis made in the 94th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Jonathan Alphonse however managed to control. Haiti's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
