Stade Ygossais's Anthony Vaissière played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Finlay Stair in the 10th minute of play. In the 13th play minute Finlay Stair came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Anthony Vaissière. 1-0. Jamaall Padmore got a throw-in 18 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Romon Oliver. Anthony Vaissière made an important save on a dangerous shot by Finlay Stair in the 19th minute. With an all-out effort, Jamaica's Anthony Vaissière threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Finlay Stair, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Stade Ygossais's Anthony Vaissière played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romon Oliver in the 23rd minute of play. Stade Ygossais's Edgard Blaison managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Wayan Freeman in the 29 minute of the game. A collision led to Jamaica getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Leron Sale hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Stade Ygossais's Cédric Louison tried to score from far away in the 30th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Stade Ygossais's Morgan Ayad quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Kordal Duff, made in the 33rd minute of the game. Karlus Waugh hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Finlay Stair in the 36th minute of play forced Stade Ygossais's goalkeeper Anthony Vaissière to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anthony Vaissière showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Finlay Stair in the 37th minute of the match. Anthony Vaissière made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Jarell Hill sent off a good shot on target. In the 40th minute, Jamaica's Romon Oliver ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Anthony Vaissière. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leron Sale got free with Anthony Vaissière in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Stade Ygossais booed when Jamaica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javan Develder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eugène Guiguet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Finlay Stair cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Anthony Vaissière was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karlus Waugh in the 61st minute of play forced Stade Ygossais's goalkeeper Anthony Vaissière to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Finlay Stair in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anthony Vaissière prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anthony Vaissière made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Finlay Stair in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute Romon Oliver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anthony Vaissière saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Jamaica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Jamaica's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
