An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Correa in the 10th minute of play forced The Globo Red's goalkeeper Don Bray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Will Budden struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Globo Red. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Don Bray prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 19th minute. Caco Moura came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jonathan Ferrant could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caco Moura got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th minute, Uygur Demirer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Don Bray read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Caco Moura's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. The Globo Red's Don Bray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 33rd minute of play. Caco Moura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Globo Red's Don Bray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 45th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Caco Moura to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 52nd minute of play forced The Globo Red's goalkeeper Don Bray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Don Bray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Caco Moura had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Caco Moura was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 66 minutes in the game Dave Spacey did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Caco Moura. Jonathan Venegas's late challenge caught a The Globo Red's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Venegas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense.
