After 45 played minutes The Globo Red got a freekick which was hit by Austin Child. When Austin Child got the opportunity to take care of a free kick, it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball hit the crossbar and flew out of bounds.

51 minutes into the match, The Globo Red's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Don Bray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when The Globo Red was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominik Webb didn't get a good kick on the ball. A throw-in in the 60th minute of the game was made by Felix Montes with Felix Montenegro as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. A collision led to The Globo Red getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Adam Muddle hit a great ball. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Caco Moura's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Agustín Saelices who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Don Bray when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 72nd minute. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Don Bray quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Don Bray made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 83rd minute. If Will Budden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of The Globo Red booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ecuador played a much better game than The Globo Red and deserved their victory. The The Globo Red players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
