Jacobo Nores made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Chanboon Saedan sent off a good shot on target. Jacobo Nores didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Olympique de Marseille's Chanboon Saedan shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Jaime Pardo struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Carlo Petrini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraguay. When Jaime Pardo came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Pardo couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Olympique de Marseille booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xavier Zoido didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Thanasit Morpeak in the 32 minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chanboon Saedan in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 36th minute Chanboon Saedan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Chanboon Saedan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jacobo Nores. That made the score 2-0 in the 38 minute of play. In the 43rd match minute, Olympique de Marseille was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chanboon Saedan to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 46 minutes, Chanboon Saedan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olympique de Marseille's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chanboon Saedan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Pardo to strike the kick off in the second half. After 57 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Zoido. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chanboon Saedan, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Pongsakorn Pimphapun made in the 67th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Paraguay's Alan Campos. In the 71stth minute of the game Chanboon Saedan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paraguay's Jacobo Nores was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sadayut Thanateerasud in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Nores saved Paraguay from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 76th minute of play forced Olympique de Marseille's goalkeeper Carlo Petrini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paraguay's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jaime Pardo in the 77th minute. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Chanboon Saedan sped through Paraguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pongsakorn Pimphapun in the 81st minute of the match. Olympique de Marseille's Carlo Petrini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Olympique de Marseille from getting a goal against them. Hector Covarrubias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Olympique de Marseille were victorious despite being under pressure from Paraguay for much of the match.
