The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Perivaldo Nogueira during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Pragmáticos 1903 booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pau Doku in the 20th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Pau Doku came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Pragmáticos 1903 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pau Doku couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pau Doku in the 28th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Pau Doku left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pragmáticos 1903 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Pragmáticos 1903's Pedro Paulo Chaves quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Guillermo Mariano, made in the 31st minute of the game. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Amava Pintos made a huge save. Perivaldo Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Pau Doku had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pau Doku was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 41 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Pau Doku came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pau Doku was the one to do the kick off. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Pau Doku capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pau Doku really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Luiz Eduardo Alves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Luiz Eduardo Alves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Pau Doku tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th minute, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rigoberto Mina the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Venezuela protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rigoberto Mina had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of Venezuela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pragmáticos 1903:s goal. Venezuela:s Jonathan Ferrant showed great skill when he stopped Pedro Paulo Chaves:s penalty. 73 minutes into the game, Abelardo Valle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pragmáticos 1903's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. In the 74th minute, Abelardo Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Pau Doku had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Pragmáticos 1903 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
