Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gregorie Lievens was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Bucaspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hüsmen Emekli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bucaspor's Nando Muslera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 44th minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gregorie Lievens to strike the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregorie Lievens in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Nando Muslera. Bucaspor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorie Lievens in the 69th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gregorie Lievens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Luis Andino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Nando Muslera made a huge save. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nando Muslera having to interfere. Heli Incera hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Bucaspor had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
