Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nando Muslera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eligijus Abakevičius scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eligijus Abakevičius in the 6th minute of the match. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bucaspor's goalie prevented a goal. Eligijus Abakevičius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 25th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregorie Lievens in the 27th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita scored 2-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nando Muslera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rahman Altıparmak kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Bucaspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heli Incera didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bucaspor's goalkeeper Nando Muslera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregorie Lievens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Bucaspor's Nando Muslera got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristian Sancho's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Nando Muslera firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cristian Sanchos short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Nando Muslera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregorie Lievens in the 67th minute of play. Bucaspor's Nando Muslera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Bucaspor from getting a goal against them. 70 minutes into the game, Felix Montenegro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nando Muslera. Felix Montenegro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. After having played for 73 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorie Lievens in the 77th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nando Muslera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 81 played minutes Bucaspor got a freekick which was hit by Gregorie Lievens. Gregorie Lievens blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 91 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Günalp Paksoy who took care of the corner kick. Günalp Paksoy made a great header on Bucaspor's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. Bucaspor succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
