The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomas Berganza took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jithu Hsin kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Singapore defense, Abraham Alguacil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lamar Lee. The Singapore fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lamar Lee should have stopped the shot. After 11 minutes of play, Panama's Tomas Berganza made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lamar Lee was left in no man's land by his defense there! Abraham Alguacil scored 0-3 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lamar Lee, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Singapore fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Singapore's Benoit De Middeleer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Lamar Lee came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Miguel Miralles. But to his dismay, Miguel Miralles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Singapore's Santiago Morell. But to his dismay, Santiago Morell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. Benoit De Middeleer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. After having played for 37 minutes, Abraham Alguacil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abraham Alguacil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Cambeiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lamar Lee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benoit De Middeleer in the 43rd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 46th minute of play forced Singapore's goalkeeper Lamar Lee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lamar Lee didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Berganza went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-6 was the resulting score. The Singapore players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Panama were winning 2-6.

The wind increased when Benoit De Middeleer made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Panama's zone, Antoni Gotfryd stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal and Antoni Gotfryd tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Panama's Tomas Berganza got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 57 minutes of play, Panama's Tomas Berganza made it 2-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lamar Lee was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Singapore defense, Abraham Alguacil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lamar Lee. The Singapore fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lamar Lee should have stopped the shot. When Abraham Alguacil came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abraham Alguacil couldn't finish the play. In the 66th minute, Tomas Berganza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-9. Felix Ning hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute of the match Abraham Alguacil sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lamar Lee skillfully saved the ball. Tomas Berganza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lamar Lee having to make a save. Lamar Lee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 78th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Aaron Barrios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Morell in the 85th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abraham Alguacil got free with Lamar Lee in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th minute, 范荣挺 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Panama's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
