Varsovia's attentive Kacper Miazga managed to snatch the ball when Camilo Gisbert made a throw-in in the 6th minute of the game. Antoni Poremba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 27th minute of play forced Varsovia's goalkeeper Antoni Poremba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Kacper Miazga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kajetan Bendyk got free with Julio Vera in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antoni Poremba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After a rather tough play, Varsovia's Hieronim Dziurowicz got a free kick in the 37th minute. 44 minutes into the match, Stefan Niemojewski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stefan Niemojewski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Varsovia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wincenty Skorny didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antoni Poremba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. Varsovia's Antoni Poremba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 69th minute of play. Antoni Poremba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 83rd minute of the match. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. The Varsovia support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
