Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Panama's Tomas Berganza started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Abraham Alguacil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Abraham Alguacil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lamar Lee breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 5th minute, Singapore's Benoit De Middeleer ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 9th minute, Abraham Alguacil made a precise shot to the right of Lamar Lee. Singapore's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Berganza in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lamar Lee prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Singapore's Lamar Lee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute of the match Panama got a corner. Singapore's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abraham Alguacil ran over to the corner to take the kick. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Berganza in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lamar Lee saved Singapore from getting behind. 25 minutes into the match, Singapore's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Lamar Lee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Abraham Alguacil left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 32nd minute, Tomas Berganza made a precise shot to the right of Lamar Lee. Singapore's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Abraham Alguacil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lamar Lee having to interfere. In the 39th match minute, Singapore was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Wah to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benoit De Middeleer in the 80th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Singapore's Benoit De Middeleer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antoni Gotfryd in the 83rd minute of play. After 87 minutes of play, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lamar Lee was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Singapore. The goalkeeper, Lamar Lee, was totally fooled by Panama's Abraham Alguacil, who 96 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.
