Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cauã Carneiro took the kick off in the first half of the match. Aírton Penha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 5th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Joel Gaona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aírton Penha was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Aírton Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 14th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when 任洋凡 sent off a good shot on target. After 18 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aílton Loureiro who took care of the corner kick. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aílton Loureiro in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Lautaro Mancebo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After 27 minutes of play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aírton Penha was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval got a free kick in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Magnistar's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aírton Penha came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aírton Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 38th minute of the match. Aírton Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when 任洋凡 sent off a good shot on target. In the 42nd minute, Luca Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aírton Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Mexico were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aírton Penha having to interfere. 55 minutes into the game, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aírton Penha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. In the 57th minute, Joel Lundqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by 任洋凡 in the 65th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Aírton Penha threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 68th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Magnistar's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Aírton Penha could save by the left post. In the 71st minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Aírton Penha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Magnistar's Aírton Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 80th minute of play. The supporters of Mexico booed when Magnistar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aílton Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Aírton Penha in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Magnistar's Aírton Penha got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Aírton Penha made a huge save. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
