Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Gitano in the 10th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeo Distiratsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th match minute, Jarana FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yang Yao Kuan to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the match, Jarana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Tadeo Distiratsu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Gitano in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sigve Rossland was slow to take the kick. During this time Jarana FC's players had a chance to rest. In the 29th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeo Distiratsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Camilo Gisbert threw the ball into play from the sideline. Jarana FC's Valko De Hond quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Tadeo Distiratsu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Wilfredo Gitano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Li Sen Ling stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57thth minute of the game Li Sen Ling who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 58th minute Jarana FC were awarded a corner. Sigve Rossland went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ecuador's goalie and right to Ismael Guillelmus. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ecuador's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tadeo Distiratsu. Tadeo Distiratsu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. A sloppy throw-in by Camilo Gisbert in the 63rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Jarana FC's Ismael Guillelmus. When Jarana FC's Wilfredo Gitano in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfredo Gitano in the 79th minute of play. Wilfredo Gitano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Gitano in the 82nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 88th minute of play forced Jarana FC's goalkeeper Tadeo Distiratsu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Li Sen Ling went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. The Jarana FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
