To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 6th minute, Osmar Eger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, João Augusto Bittencourt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Quebra Ossos FC's Rafinha Simão got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute of the match Axel Tasis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Téo Fonseca skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alexander Carballo got a free kick in the 13th minute. Alexandre Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. The supporters of Quebra Ossos FC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Alexandre Pombal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quebra Ossos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Pombal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32nd minute Alexandre Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Axel Tasis hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Quebra Ossos FC's João Augusto Bittencourt got a free kick in the 45th minute. When João Augusto Bittencourt got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Quebra Ossos FC. If João Augusto Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alexandre Pombal to strike the kick off in the second half. Osmar Eger received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Osmar Eger slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 53rd minute. In the 57th minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th play minute João Augusto Bittencourt came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Benito Sanz. 0-6. In the 65th minute Alexandre Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 minutes, Alan Moruga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Quebra Ossos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 66 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. João Augusto Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 77 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Pombal came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Costa Rica fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Quebra Ossos FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
