Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Axel Tasis kicked off to start the match. After 6th play minutes Radomil Jenkot shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. Tolek Tyski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Hieronim Logewnik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tolek Tyski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Puig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd match minute, Borussia Dortmund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wieslaw Ochylski to maneuver through the defense. Axel Tasis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Tolek Tyski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Kajetan Banan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Kajetan Banan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 29 minutes, Alan Moruga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Borussia Dortmund players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Radomil Jenkot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute, Lautaro Puig made a precise shot to the right of Tolek Tyski. Borussia Dortmund's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Radomil Jenkot to make the kick off. Cyprian Brak hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Kajetan Banan took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 67th minute, Radomil Jenkot left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Borussia Dortmund fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Lautaro Puig might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tolek Tyski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Puig ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 73rd minute Kajetan Banan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Kajetan Banan notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cyprian Brak's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cyprian Brak helped the player get up and apologised. Cyprian Brak kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Borussia Dortmund's zone, Eliseo Noboa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tolek Tyski came out of the goal and Eliseo Noboa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 84 minutes into the game, Borussia Dortmund's Radomil Jenkot nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. In the 89th minute, Borussia Dortmund's Damian Sobczak seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Damian Sobczak the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Borussia Dortmund protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Damian Sobczak had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Borussia Dortmund fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 89th minute. Penalty! Axel Tasis shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 98thth minute of the game Radomil Jenkot who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Borussia Dortmund were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Costa Rica for a fine match.
