After 7 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Rubio. Moises Fernandino in the 9thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Anthony Vaissière, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A sloppy throw-in by Eugène Guiguet in the 14th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by El Salvador's Luis Rubio. Stade Ygossais's Morgan Ayad quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Luis Rubio, made in the 19th minute of the game. When Joshua Curbelo fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Salvador's protests and gave Joshua Curbelo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Joshua Curbelo hit a great ball. In the 26th minute of the game Luis Rubio made a throw-in which Abram Luque played forward. 32 minutes into the match, Stade Ygossais's goalkeeper Anthony Vaissière had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moises Fernandino. After a defensive mix-up in Stade Ygossais's zone, Moises Fernandino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anthony Vaissière came out of the goal and Moises Fernandino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stade Ygossais's Gameiro Gèlebart managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Luis Rubio in the 38 minute of the game. Anthony Vaissière made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Moises Fernandino sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cédric Louison in the 41st minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Moises Fernandino came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the El Salvador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Fernandino couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Moises Fernandino to strike the kick off in the second half. Anthony Vaissière made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Fernandino in the 52nd minute of play. Anthony Vaissière took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Fernandino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abram Luque took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anthony Vaissière. Anthony Vaissière dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Anthony Vaissière made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Luque in the 60th minute of play. 61 minutes in the game Luis Rubio did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Marco Tamayo. Moises Fernandino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anthony Vaissière having to interfere. Anthony Vaissière came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by El Salvador's Abram Luque. But to his dismay, Abram Luque quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Abram Luque scored 5-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anthony Vaissière, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Stade Ygossais's attentive Gameiro Gèlebart managed to snatch the ball when Luis Rubio made a throw-in in the 76th minute of the game. Anthony Vaissière made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Fernandino in the 80th minute of play. Moises Fernandino struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Anthony Vaissière didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Salvador. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Luque in the 88th minute of play forced Stade Ygossais's goalkeeper Anthony Vaissière to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the game, Luis Rubio threw the ball into play from the sideline. Stade Ygossais's Gameiro Gèlebart quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Fernandino in the 92nd minute of play forced Stade Ygossais's goalkeeper Anthony Vaissière to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stade Ygossais's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
