In the 3rd minute, Peru's Julian Murillo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rinto Kalla. Rinto Kalla yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 6th minute Danial Salter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Rinto Kalla made a huge save. Rinto Kalla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 9th minute. Peru's Julian Murillo pulled a muscle in his leg after 11 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Francesco Helton fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lake Wales FC's protests and gave Francesco Helton a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th minute, one of Lake Wales FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lake Wales FC. Rinto Kalla made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Antonio Tenorio sent off a good shot on target. The Peru fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Peru's Antonio Tenorio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antonio Tenorio in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rinto Kalla saved Lake Wales FC from getting behind. Rinto Kalla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Tenorio in the 29th minute. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Antonio Tenorio came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Tenorio couldn't finish the play. In the 35th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. Rinto Kalla made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Antonio Tenorio sent off a good shot on target. Rinto Kalla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Tenorio, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 44 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Davenport came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antonio Tenorio to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antonio Tenorio in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rinto Kalla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rinto Kalla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Tenorio, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Peru's Milagros Fraga got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Tenorio in the 60th minute of play forced Lake Wales FC's goalkeeper Rinto Kalla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lake Wales FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. In the 64th minute Garth Wray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ian Chung in the 66th minute. In the 70th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Alonso Berganza managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. When Peru's Antonio Tenorio in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lake Wales FC's goalie prevented a goal. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Lake Wales FC's Garth Wray was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rolando Noboa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Lake Wales FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Rey Ivey hit a great ball. Luz Tejedor struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Rinto Kalla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stacy Kitchen in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute of the match Lake Wales FC got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Garth Wray ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lake Wales FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Garth Wray in the 98th minute. After taking down the ball on Lake Wales FC's corner Garth Wray fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rolando Noboa quite easily take care of the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Peru fully deserved thier win.
