In the 16th minute, Edmundo Espiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeo Marcones in the 20th minute of the match. The supporters of Honduras booed when Steelares FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Ganix didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Edmundo Espiga recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eloy Gartxot. Edmundo Espiga showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Eloy Gartxot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. With a little luck, Steelares FC's Eloy Gartxot got control of the ball when Edmundo Espiga tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 38 minutes, Luca Espinar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luca Espinar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edmundo Espiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Gartxot having to interfere. Nicasio Barea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Espiga got free with Eloy Gartxot in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Edmundo Espiga kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eloy Gartxot. That made the score 3-0 in the 46 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmundo Espiga to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Steelares FC's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eloy Gartxot came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard, long distance shot from Sebastian Villa flew over the goal. Edmundo Espiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Gartxot having to interfere. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Steelares FC's goalkeeper Eloy Gartxot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Honduras's Sebastian Villa in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Steelares FC's goalie prevented a goal. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Honduras from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eloy Gartxot saved Steelares FC from getting behind. Sebastian Villa kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Sebastian Villa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 72 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eloy Gartxot. Steelares FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmundo Espiga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Edmundo Espiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Gartxot having to interfere. The supporters of Honduras booed when Steelares FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeo Marcones didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eloy Gartxot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Amadeo Marcones got his second yellow card in the match during the 91st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Honduras booed when Steelares FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeo Marcones didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Honduras were the better team. Honduras's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
