A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Bruno Beldad hit a great ball. Denílson de Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Moisés Marquez in the 11th minute. Duarte Porto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Joaquin Gayoso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Bruno Beldad kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Maximiliano Escribano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denílson de Andrade having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Walmir Neiva in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. In the 33rd minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denílson de Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute, Alberto Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofil Domalik in the 35th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 36 minutes, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th match minute, Predador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldemar Cardozo to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute of the game Virgílio Gonçalves made a throw-in which Duarte Porto played forward. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert got a free kick in the 45th minute. Bruno Beldad hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. In the 48th minute Walmir Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Kauan Velloso got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Joaquin Gayoso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 54 minutes of play, Predador's Moisés Marquez made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Denílson de Andrade made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmir Neiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 78th minute Duarte Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Duarte Porto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Duarte Porto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Teofil Domalik hit a great ball. 90 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Escribano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Denílson de Andrade was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Duarte Porto's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. After 96 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Beldad. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Neiva in the 97th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Predador players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
