Pau Doku might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pau Doku ran back to his position shaking his head. 11 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Amava Pintos, 1-0. Amava Pintos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 14th minute of the match. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amava Pintos having to interfere. If Facundo Cadaval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amava Pintos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pragmáticos 1903 were furious when Kaká Fenomeno was red carded, 31 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Pragmáticos 1903:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mexico:s goal. Joel Gaona shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 34 minutes into the match, Pragmáticos 1903's goalkeeper Amava Pintos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. 34 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Amava Pintos, 2-0. Amava Pintos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Ruud Gullit kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Facundo Cadaval slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Amava Pintos. That made the score 3-0 after 42 minutes of play. 46 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Amava Pintos. Alberto Tafalla showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pau Doku stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Pau Doku managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pragmáticos 1903's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pau Doku was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amava Pintos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pragmáticos 1903's Ronaldinho Mendonça got a free kick in the 58th minute. Pau Doku recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Mexico booed when Pragmáticos 1903 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruud Gullit didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pragmáticos 1903's Amava Pintos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 69th minute of play. After 78 played minutes Pragmáticos 1903 got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Valle. Amava Pintos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 85th minute of play. Amava Pintos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
