He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lake Wales FC reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Rinto Kalla in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rinto Kalla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rinto Kalla, 1-0. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danial Salter, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Lake Wales FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Garth Wray in the 18th minute. It was a well-played corner which Roland Davenport managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 20 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Garth Wray came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lake Wales FC's Rinto Kalla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Lake Wales FC from getting a goal against them. Rinto Kalla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francesco Helton made in the 24th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Ian Chung however managed to control. The throw-in from Moises Gayoso in the 29th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Lake Wales FC's Lance Yeats. 31 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Stacy Kitchen came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Peru booed when Lake Wales FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lance Yeats didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Rinto Kalla made a huge save. 38 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rinto Kalla. Lake Wales FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Alonso Berganza hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Chung in the 45th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rinto Kalla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milagros Fraga in the 52nd minute of the match. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Joaquin Prats hit a great ball. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Ian Chung tried to sneak it across the goal line. Phillip Calhoun charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Phillip Calhoun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th match minute, Lake Wales FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phillip Calhoun to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 66th minute of play forced Lake Wales FC's goalkeeper Rinto Kalla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rinto Kalla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. In the 84th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rinto Kalla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 85 minutes, Luz Tejedor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luz Tejedor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peru made a substitution. Rinto Kalla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Gallo in the 90th minute of the match. In the 90th minute Rafael Gallo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rinto Kalla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Lake Wales FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Gallo came free, but Rinto Kalla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Eliseo Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peru were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
