When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Luz Tejedor sped through Raven Heart's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benvido Fuica. In the 15th match minute, Raven Heart was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Soter Mobellan to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Raven Heart's goalkeeper Benvido Fuica, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benvido Fuica was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. A collision led to Raven Heart getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Pero Barrutia hit a great ball. In the 35th minute Barto Gayoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Raven Heart's Benvido Fuica. Benvido Fuica was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Natalio Marcones fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. If Pero Barrutia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pero Barrutia got free with Rolando Noboa in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peru's Milagros Fraga got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 71st minute of play forced Raven Heart's goalkeeper Benvido Fuica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Murillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Benvido Fuica tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raven Heart's Benvido Fuica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 78th minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benvido Fuica narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Barto Gayoso came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Peru booed when Raven Heart was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Comesaña didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Peru fully deserved thier win.
