With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastião Quintal in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Fernando Teixeira saved Lea FC from getting behind. After 26 played minutes Lea FC got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Bastos. Lea FC's Luiz Fernando Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin da Fonseca in the 27th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Lea FC's Maximiliano Ermengol seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Maximiliano Ermengol the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Lea FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Maximiliano Ermengol had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 33 minutes into the game, Pesqueira City's Benjamin da Fonseca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Fernando Teixeira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benjamin da Fonseca made a kick off. Luiz Fernando Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastião Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Lea FC's Luiz Fernando Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin da Fonseca in the 95th minute of play. Pesqueira City's Benjamin da Fonseca got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Pesqueira City could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lea FC throughout the match.
