In the 14th minute Cahya Pandiangan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diego Mero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 16th minute of the match. If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Husni Silaban, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute Zheng Rong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Forever Young booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Miralles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dylan Sarmiento kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Cahya Pandiangan scored 0-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 29th minute of play forced Forever Young's goalkeeper Diego Mero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diego Mero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 31st minute of play. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cahya Pandiangan in the 36th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zheng Rong in the 40th minute of the match. When Tomas Berganza fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Tomas Berganza a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Tomas Berganza hit a great ball. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zheng Rong in the 44th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Berganza was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Genta Hamzah came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elfonda Astrajingga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcos Cotilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elfonda Astrajingga in the 58th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elfonda Astrajingga. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elfonda Astrajingga got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zheng Rong in the 75th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Forever Young's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Alguacil came free, but Diego Mero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elfonda Astrajingga's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 80thth minute, Marcos Cotilla skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 82 minutes, Zheng Rong managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Forever Young's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zheng Rong was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Forever Young's Willy Rais was substituted for Cahya Pandiangan. In the 86th minute Forever Young were awarded a corner. Şenel İslamoğlu went to the cornerflag to take it. Forever Young's Şenel İslamoğlu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcos Cotilla in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 88 minutes into the match, Elfonda Astrajingga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elfonda Astrajingga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Tomas Berganza scored 2-5 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diego Mero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
