Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Herbert Duszenski charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Herbert Duszenski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 68 played minutes CRS Pogoń Barlinek got a freekick which was hit by Herbert Duszenski. In the 70th minute Bogumil Pochorylo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogumil Pochorylo in the 70th minute of play. Felix Montenegro came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Evert Telin could save by the left post. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Evert Telin made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Zbigniew Dziurowicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Zbigniew Dziurowicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
