Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Trisna Durahman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 28 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. RED SHARK FC's Theo Tauhid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 30th minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trisna Durahman in the 40th minute of the match. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from M. Ramdhan Sianturi, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Sahala Maranatha made the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sahala Maranatha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The RED SHARK FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Theo Tauhid should have stopped the shot. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 76th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Theo Tauhid could save by the left post. RED SHARK FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Daniel Zorita 76 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sahala Maranatha, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Ramdhan Sianturi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. M. Ramdhan Sianturi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
