Yin Chuan Feng made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Luz Tejedor sent off a good shot on target. 17 minutes into the match, LEBRON's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Yin Chuan Feng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the last second Yin Chuan Feng throw himself and got hold of the ball when Julian Murillo in the 21stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 24th minute of the match, Julian Murillo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Yin Chuan Feng saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Epifanio Harkaitz in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Epifanio Harkaitz sped through Peru's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epifanio Harkaitz in the 33rd minute of play. Julian Murillo struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Yin Chuan Feng didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Julian Murillo took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Yin Chuan Feng to make any attempt to save it. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The supporters of Peru booed when LEBRON was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luo Qing Xi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute of the match Peru got a corner. LEBRON's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcin Danisiewicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Yin Chuan Feng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 64th minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcin Danisiewicz in the 76th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, LEBRON's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Yin Chuan Feng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milagros Fraga to maneuver through the defense. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor.
