Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Generoso Sandaili came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but san isidro's Mieszko Bierfass was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ambrosio Viator in the 20th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mieszko Bierfass narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Generoso Sandaili blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lautaro Navarro having to make a save. The supporters of san isidro booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Espiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luca Espinar during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mieszko Bierfass took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Gösta Kihlberg came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Milagros Cabal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
