With 5 minutes on the clock, Esteban Carvallo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 13 played minutes, Heavenly Hooters's Luo Feng Feng shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Heavenly Hooters reached it. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Milagros Cabal got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 20th minute, Todd Griffiths made a precise shot to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 22nd match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Espinar to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute of the game Lico Aldazabal made a throw-in which Todd Griffiths played forward. Heavenly Hooters's Phil Naylor got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd match minute, Heavenly Hooters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Todd Griffiths to maneuver through the defense. Ross Clark hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phil Naylor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Phil Naylor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lautaro Navarro was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Heavenly Hooters's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marty King in the 38th minute. Heavenly Hooters's Marty King was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lautaro Navarro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 40th minute Sebastian Villa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lennie Rusby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Todd Griffiths hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute, Todd Griffiths hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Todd Griffiths stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Milagros Cabal kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. A hard shot by Marty King from long distance, 51 minutes into the match, got Lautaro Navarro's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a defensive mix-up in Heavenly Hooters's zone, Sebastian Villa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lennie Rusby came out of the goal and Sebastian Villa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Todd Griffiths could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. Heavenly Hooters's Pedro Luiz de Moraes was substituted for Phil Naylor. The throw-in from Luo Feng Feng in the 72nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Edmundo Espiga. In the 75th minute Todd Griffiths shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marty King in the 76th minute of play. Marty King fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. The throw-in from Lico Aldazabal in the 84th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Christian Sancho. 86 minutes into the game, Luo Feng Feng threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Christian Sancho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Todd Griffiths's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lautaro Navarro firmly grabbed it by the left post. Todd Griffiths sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Todd Griffiths sped through Honduras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Heavenly Hooters eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
