If Roman Serdyuk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gennadiy Demyanenko made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Oriche Vega in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 57 minutes, Roman Serdyuk made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A nice corner shot did that Leonid Malafeev got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. It was a well-played corner which Roman Serdyuk managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Krasnodar FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
