After a rather tough play, Peracal FC's Salvidor Castellana got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldinho Maujo, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. After 12 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. In the 16th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicanor Rosete saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Peracal FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. After taking down the ball on Venezuela's corner Tomas Illescas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nicanor Rosete quite easily take care of the ball. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 42 minutes of play, Peracal FC's Ronaldinho Maujo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicanor Rosete having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 49th minute, when Behe Andrada sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Ronaldinho Maujo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Ronaldinho Maujo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ronaldinho Maujo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronaldinho Maujo struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peracal FC. There was no doubt that Peracal FC were the better team. Peracal FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
