Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dario Alegría took the kick off in the first half of the match. Julio Vera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dario Alegría showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. After 6 played minutes AVAÍ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Pombal. After having played for 7 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Alegría in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 12th minute of play forced AVAÍ F.C.'s goalkeeper Jailson Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jailson Teles. AVAÍ F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Alegría in the 21st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, AVAÍ F.C.'s Alex Sági got a free kick in the 24th minute. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jailson Teles. Jailson Teles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Jailson Teles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jailson Teles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 35th minute of the match. Jailson Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the AVAÍ F.C. defense, Luis Andino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jailson Teles. The AVAÍ F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jailson Teles should have stopped the shot. In the 42nd minute, Dario Alegría ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Alegría in the 45th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Dario Alegría ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Dario Alegría who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 57th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jailson Teles was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario Alegría, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute, Dario Alegría ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Jailson Teles in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dario Alegría hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute Dario Alegría shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jailson Teles having to interfere. Jailson Teles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 79th minute. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jailson Teles having to interfere. In the 84th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jailson Teles was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A nice corner shot did that Alex Sági got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Dario Alegría, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 86 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Julio Vera was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Cristian Sancho's late challenge caught a AVAÍ F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristian Sancho helped the player get up and apologised. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmyr Salles in the 90th minute of play. After 91 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alex Sági who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Alex Sági got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing AVAÍ F.C. to leave the ground with a draw.
