When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Felix Montenegro took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Meng Yan Jing to make any attempt to save it. 11 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Abandon All Hope's Meng Yan Jing. Meng Yan Jing was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Abandon All Hope was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ye Hong didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Abandon All Hope's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Meng Yan Jing came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Meng Yan Jing having to interfere. With a little luck, Abandon All Hope's Meng Yan Jing got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Meng Yan Jing made a huge save. The supporters of Abandon All Hope booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dedê de Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Meng Yan Jing came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michal Arendarski in the 46th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.
Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilbert Gorzkiewicz in the 50th minute of play. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Abandon All Hope's goalkeeper Meng Yan Jing, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Luis Andino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Meng Yan Jing quite easily take care of the ball. Meng Yan Jing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Daniel Zorita scored 5-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Meng Yan Jing, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Meng Yan Jing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Meng Yan Jing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 85th minute of play. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Cristo Uchiha's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristo Uchiha helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Abandon All Hope's Cristo Uchiha got a free kick in the 95th minute. There was no doubt that Ecuador were the better team. Ecuador's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
